Our candle business was inspired by the legendary math teacher Ms. Miller from Urbana High School. The idea of making candles started through Ms. Miller’s annual passion project, where students could pursue any type of creative project that was within their passions.
After choosing candle making and presenting his prototype candles to the class he received and overwhelming amount of praise from classmates, which then led to lots of demand to buy those candles. The sheer amount of demand resulted in Henry deciding to turn his passion into a fully-fledged business.
